Hi! This is Olivia at the OESH factory. When I first started with the OESH Create Project I had little experience on a sewing machine and had trouble keeping my stitching lines straight on the ⅜” mark, especially along the tight curves some of our patterns include. I started this extra step to ensure I was sewing straight and allotting enough seam: Cut the paper pattern along the labeled “sew line” then center the paper pattern onto the cut fabric. Then use a light marker to trace around the paper, onto the fabric. Then as I was sewing through the machine I could watch my marked line stay in line with the stitching. Not a required step, but it helped me a lot!
