On March 15th, a few friends, my sister, and myself completed our first half marathon. The race was called the Rock N’ Roll Half Marathon in Washington, D.C. where we ran by the White House, Capital Building, Washington Monument, and much more. Throughout the course local bands and cheerleaders were set up to play live music and cheer loud as we ran by. The pictures below are some of us before the race at the starting line. All smiles early in the morning and ready to run!
Even better, I wore my OESH La Vida v2.0 which was just what I needed to complete this race. The flat, responsive sole was super comfortable for the full mileage as well as giving me that extra spring when running on the pavement. The fiji La Vida v2.0 matched the bright colors of our spandex perfectly to really complete the outfit (we got many cheers for our matching outfits throughout the race).
13.1 miles later and still smiling…or is that because we got that free beer when we finished! Viva La Vida!
